Teens Star 2010 is a singing contest opens to all teenagers from 15 years old to 25 years old or below, organized in conjunction with Komtar Walk Carnival 2010 organized by the state government of Penang.

RM500 cash prize + Cash voucher worth RM500 + chances to perform during event

1st Runner up
RM300 cash prize + Cash voucher worth RM300 + chances to perform during event

RM200 cash prize + Cash voucher worth RM200 + chances to perform during event

Terms and condition


1. Contest
-age: 15-25 years old, who loves music.
-participants are required to bring an own minus one version cd/vcd.
-participants must be a free person that not involving in any contracts with any sound recording companies.
-organizer reserves the right of using the participants’ name, image, VCR & etc as a tool of promoting this event. All participants must qualify in audition round in order to proceed to preliminary round.
-participants are required to prepare a song that is publicly acceptable and not exceeds 5 minutes in audition round.


2. Contest schedule
-application: today onward until 3rd/6/2010.
-audition round: 5th/6/2010 (Saturday) Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk (4pm-11pm)
-preliminary round: 6th/6/2010(Sunday) Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk (7pm-10pm)
-semi final: 13rd/6/2010 (Sunday) Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk (7pm-10pm)
-final round: 20th/6/2010 (Sunday) Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk (7pm-11pm)
*the schedule announce on the official website will take effect as the final schedule.
*all participants are required to report themselves an hour before the competition.


3. Ways to apply
Please collect the application form at the places stated below:
-service centre of YB Ng Wei Aik (ADUN of Komtar)
-pacific Komtar (customer service counter)

4. Selection of songs
Audition round: own selection of 1 song either Cantonese, mandarin, Malay or English
(Minus one version)
Preliminary round: own selection of 1 song either Cantonese, mandarin, Malay or English
(Minus one version)
Semi final: own selection of 1 fast and 1 slow song either Cantonese, mandarin, Malay or English (minus one version)


5. How the judges give marks?
-each judge will be provided 10 card boards with 1 to 10. Judges will raise the mark’s card board.
-total of marks given by each judge will be the final marks for the participants.
-judges’ decision will be the final decision. No appeal or argument will be entertained.


6. Punishment and appeal
-participants that found to be dishonest or commit any fraud during the competition, allow others to participate on behalf of he/she, who does not attend the competition, fighting or goes against the morality and the rules and regulations of competition will be forfeited from the competition. The organizer reserves the right to take legal actions against who commit serious issues during the competition.
-any appeal must be presented in writing (except appeal for result) 24 hours after the dispute. Any appeal later than that will not be entertained.


7. Prizes
Champion – RM500 + Station 1 Café voucher worth RM500 + chances to perform in the events by state government.
1st runner up – RM300 + Station 1 Café voucher worth RM300+ chances to perform in the events by state government.
2nd runner up – RM200 + Station 1 Café voucher worth RM200 + chances to perform in the events by state government.
Best Supporter – Station 1 Café voucher


8. Prizes and award
The organizer remains the final decision for the award and prizes. Organizer reserves the rights to exchange the prizes with the items that amount the same value in the case of the prizes are insufficient. All prizes won are not exchangeable into cash. Organizer is not liable to any damages of the prizes and award after given out.

参赛章则


一•参赛
-年龄：15-25周岁，热爱音乐，自备伴唱cd/vcd。
-参赛选手不得与任何唱片公司，经纪公司，演出公司签有协议。
-主办单位有权使用参赛者之姓名，肖像，影音等作为宣传素材，参赛选手必须经面试 审核通过后，方可参加正式选拔赛。
-参赛选手需于面试时准备1首歌曲，作品词曲健康，歌曲不得超过5分钟。


二•赛程安排
报名：即日起至2010年6月3日截止。
面试/筛选赛：2010年6月5日（星期六）Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk （4pm-11pm）
初赛：2010年6月6日（星期日）Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk （7pm-10pm）
半决赛：2010年6月13日（星期日）Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk （7pm-10pm）
总决赛：2010年6月20日（星期日）Outdoor stage @ Komtar Walk （7pm-11pm）

面试/筛选赛：自选伴唱曲目（广东/中文/马来文/英文）-1首
初赛：自选伴唱曲目（广东/中文/马来文/英文）-1首
半决赛：自选伴唱曲目（广东/中文/马来文/英文）-快歌，慢歌各1首
总决赛：自选伴唱曲目（广东/中文/马来文/英文）-快歌，慢歌各1首


五•评分
-评判将手持由1-10的分数卡，于每位参赛者演唱后出示手中分数卡。
-每位评判出示的分数卡加起来将会是参赛者的得分。
-评判的决定是最后的决定，一切申诉恕不受理。


六•处罚与申诉
凡有弄虚作假，冒名顶替，无故罢赛，殴斗滋事等违背比赛道德和违反竞赛纪律规定者，取消比赛资格和比赛成绩。对情节严重者保留提报法律机关的权利。所有申诉争议（比赛成绩除外）发生后24小时书面提出，逾时恕不受理。


七•奖励
冠军：现金奖RM500 + Station 1 Café 价值RM500礼卷及参与州政府所举办之活动演出。
亚军：现金奖RM300+ Station 1 Café 价值RM300礼卷及参与州政府所举办之活动演出。
季军：现金奖RM200+ Station 1 Café 价值RM200礼卷及参与州政府所举办之活动演出。
最佳支持者：Station 1 Café 礼卷
初赛入选30位；半决赛入选20位；总决赛入选10位。


八•奖金奖品
所有奖品均以主办单位最后提供的相关资料为准。如遇奖品缺货等问题，主办单位拥有调换同等价值奖品的权利，获奖人员不得将奖品兑换成现金。主办方提供奖品的相关文件，奖品领用后发生的任何问题与主办方无关。
